![]() As you get stronger physically and mentally there will come a time where you will need equipment to progress. But of course, anything that is free has a limit to its capacity for growth. ![]() The low barrier to entry is amazing for people who just want to get their foot in the door of self-improvement and physical competence. That one video changed me physically and more importantly, mentally.Ä«odyweight exercise or calisthenics has always been an excellent and easy way to start working out without being burdened with equipment, going to a gym, or having to spend a lot of initial investment. And from that point on after two years, I look nothing like I did. ![]() That was when I discovered calisthenics or bodyweight workout, it all started with one youtube video that explained it well enough so I could understand the basics. I liked doing pull-ups, push-ups, and jump rope but I could never stay consistent with it long enough to make any significant progress, that is until we were locked down in our own homes and had nothing else to do but think about our lives. When I first started looking into fitness at the beginning of the 2020 pandemic I was a scrawny little guy, physical activities like basketball and baseball were fun but they never added to my physical strength or competence, I simply did it because it was entertaining.
